NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — Two people died in a head-on collision on State Highway 9 near 108th Avenue SE on August 4, shortly after noon.
According to the Norman Police Department, a 72-year-old man driving eastbound crossed the center line and collided with a westbound vehicle.
The eastbound driver was pronounced dead at the scene; he was alone in his vehicle. The westbound driver, identified as 26-year-old Tiffany Murillo, also died at the scene.
A 3-year-old girl, a passenger in Murillo’s vehicle, was transported to an area hospital and remains there.
The crash is under investigation, and lane closures were reported during the emergency response. Authorities have not released further details regarding potential causes or other involved parties.
