North Carolina Woman Charged in Fatal Motorcycle Crash.

Woman Charged in Deadly Motorcycle Crash in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A woman has been charged after a motorcycle crash resulted in a fatality in Asheville on February 13.

At approximately 4:23 p.m., Asheville Police responded to a collision at New Leicester Highway and Eliada Home Road. A preliminary investigation revealed that 27-year-old Tylor Russell Holzhauser was riding a 2024 Kawasaki ER650 motorcycle southbound when it struck a 2013 Toyota Prius making a left turn.

Holzhauser was ejected from the motorcycle and did not survive. Emergency responders were unable to revive him.

New Leicester Highway was closed for more than an hour for the on-scene investigation. Following consultations with the Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office, the Prius driver, 56-year-old Jennifer Louise Saylor, was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and unsafe movement.

Saylor was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility with a bond set at $5,000. Authorities encourage anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110.
