FAIRFIELD — A motorcycle crash on Interstate 95 south claimed the life of a 37-year-old man from New York on Sunday night, police said.
Jose M. Bautistasoto, from Port Chester, was pronounced dead after being transported to Bridgeport Hospital, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash occurred near the rest area entrance around 10:32 p.m., when Bautistasoto’s Yamaha motorcycle struck the rear of a Honda SUV, police reported. Bautistasoto was thrown from his bike as a result of the collision.
Four occupants were inside the SUV—two women and two men—none of whom sustained injuries, according to authorities.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and the investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing.
