Town of Vienna, N.Y. — On Wednesday, July 22, at 5:05 p.m., a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck occurred on State Route 13.
According to the New York State Police, Ryan A. Lyke, 37, of Canastota, was riding a 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound when Leo G. Seaton, 90, of Camden, operating a 2020 Nissan Frontier, made a left turn into the motorcycle’s path.
Emergency responders transported Lyke to Rome Health, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities confirmed that there were no other injuries reported.
The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is processing the scene, and a Drug Recognition Expert evaluated the pickup driver, finding no signs of impairment.
The investigation is ongoing.
