A crash in Marion Oaks, Florida, on April 28, 2026, resulted in the death of a 20-year-old motorcyclist, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred just before 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of Marion Oaks Boulevard and Marion Oaks Drive, involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist, a resident of Ocala, was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when the semi-truck, driven by a 44-year-old man, entered the intersection, resulting in a collision.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. The truck driver did not sustain any injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
