CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A motorcycle crash on Saturday afternoon led to a fatality in Charleston.
According to the Charleston Police Department, the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. in the 3900 block of 7th Avenue in the North Charleston area.
Investigators confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident. The motorcyclist, identified as Timothy Brown, 45, of St. Albans, was transported to a local hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities stated that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
In a separate incident, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in identifying two individuals linked to thefts and vandalism that occurred late Friday night.
Sheriff’s deputies reported that the suspects poured five quarts of motor oil onto a county-owned vehicle near St. Albans High School. Security footage has been released to aid in the investigation.
