Charges Filed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Barry County
Authorities have charged 27-year-old Jordan Arevalo in connection to a fatal pedestrian accident on Highway J in Barry County on August 23, 2022.
Arevalo faces a felony charge of Driving While Intoxicated Causing the Death of Another Person. According to court documents, she struck a pedestrian, who later succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident two weeks post-collision.
Witnesses reported that Arevalo exhibited signs of impairment at the scene. A subsequent test confirmed her intoxication.
A warrant for her arrest has been issued with a bond set at $100,000. Further investigations are ongoing.
