GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A 76-year-old man has been charged after a motorcycle collision resulted in a fatality on Dickinson Avenue Friday evening.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Dickinson Avenue and Noah Court just before 7 p.m. on February 24.
According to the police, the driver of an SUV traveling southwest made a left turn into the path of an oncoming motorcycle heading northeast.
The motorcycle operator, 62-year-old Martin Barno, was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver, identified as Joseph Taub, sustained minor injuries and was treated by medical personnel.
Authorities have charged Taub with death by vehicle and failure to yield inflicting serious injury. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
