SEEKONK, Mass. — One person was killed, and five others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 195 late Sunday night.
Troopers responded to the westbound lanes shortly after 11 p.m. and found three vehicles involved in the incident, according to the Bristol District Attorney’s Office. An 18-year-old woman, identified as Abriana Herrera Perez of Providence, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash involved a 2012 black Mazda 3, a red 2003 Toyota Tacoma, and a blue 2007 Yamaha XVS motorcycle. The Tacoma was found overturned in the median, while the Mazda was disabled in the right travel lane.
A 33-year-old man riding the motorcycle and a 69-year-old woman in the Tacoma were transported to a Rhode Island hospital for treatment. Three individuals in the Mazda—an 18-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl, and a 17-year-old boy—were also hospitalized.
Authorities confirmed that Perez was one of the four occupants in the Mazda. The Bristol District Attorney’s Office is investigating the crash to determine its cause.
