GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A motorcyclist died following a crash on Monday afternoon at Northwest 43rd Street and Northwest 39th Avenue.
Gainesville Police reported the motorcyclist was found pinned beneath a truck. The area was secured, and traffic was rerouted to alternative routes.
In a separate incident, a 34-year-old man from Tennessee sustained serious injuries in a crash on Interstate 75 in Columbia County.
Florida State Troopers stated the man lost control of his motorcycle while traveling north, veering off the roadway north of the U.S. 90 exit and colliding with a semi-truck parked on the shoulder. He was airlifted to UF Health Shands in critical condition.
