One person was killed and two others injured Saturday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 63 in Osage County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred at approximately 1:54 p.m. at County Road 512. A northbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 54-year-old man from Boonville, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The impact caused the motorcycle to veer off the road and overturn, ejecting both the 61-year-old male driver from Hartsburg and his 50-year-old female passenger. The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital via ARCH Air.
Debris from the collision struck a second southbound motorcycle, a 2002 Harley-Davidson, resulting in its overturning. The 64-year-old male driver from Jefferson City suffered moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital by Osage Ambulance.
The driver of the pickup was not reported injured. MSHP noted that the pickup sustained extensive damage, the first motorcycle was totaled, and the second motorcycle experienced minor damage.
This incident marks the fourth traffic fatality for Troop F in August and the 40th of 2026. Next of kin have been notified. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
