OTTUMWA, Iowa —
A motorcycle accident on Highway 63 at Rochester sent a driver to the hospital on Tuesday just before noon.
According to authorities, the motorcycle, operated by 33-year-old Dakota Boyer of Ottumwa, collided with a car, resulting in significant injuries.
Boyer was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment; the driver of the other vehicle did not sustain injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, and no further details on the other vehicle have been released.
Emergency response teams were on the scene to assist with medical aid and manage traffic.
