HENDERSON, Ky. – A fatal collision between a tractor and an SUV occurred at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Green Street and Borax Drive.
According to the Kentucky State Police, the tractor, operated by 55-year-old Lester T. Jones of Sturgis, was eastbound on Green Street when it collided with an SUV driven by 66-year-old James J. Jobe of Corydon.
Authorities reported that Jobe was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 21-year-old Jason P. Jobe, also of Corydon, was transported to Saint Vincent Hospital in Evansville and is currently listed in stable condition.
Jones was uninjured in the incident. Accident reconstruction and investigation are ongoing, and no further details on lane closures or tows were provided.
