TAYLOR COUNTY, Wis. (WSAW) – A 56-year-old Medford man, Scott Williams, died in a motorcycle accident on County Road M on Monday morning.
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check request after Williams failed to report to work. Cell phone data indicated his last known location was east of Perkinstown on County Road M.
A passerby later reported a motorcycle and an unresponsive man found in a ditch near the 9600 block of County Road M in the town of Hammel. Initial findings suggest Williams was traveling east when his motorcycle veered off the road into the ditch, resulting in his ejection.
Emergency responders confirmed Williams was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation, and authorities have not released further details at this time.
