One person killed in three-vehicle crash with motorcycle in Brown County, say troopers.

EAGLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle resulted in a fatality Monday morning on State Route 32.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Georgetown Post, the incident occurred just before 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. 62.

Authorities said a motorcycle driven by 28-year-old Charles T. Rump was traveling westbound when it struck the rear of a vehicle that was stopped at a red light, subsequently colliding with a truck also stopped at the light.

Rump was pronounced dead at the scene; he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. A passenger in the struck vehicle was reported uninjured.

Emergency responders remain on the scene managing the situation. The roadway was temporarily closed for safety and investigation purposes.

The Georgetown Post is conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
