Husband and Wife Killed in Orange County Crash
Two people died in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 10 in Orange County on Sunday, according to authorities.
Michael Douvio, 71, and his wife, Lynette Douvio, 69, both of Duson, Louisiana, were involved in the crash around 10:40 a.m., near the 868-mile marker. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that a Honda three-wheeled motorcycle towing a small trailer had a rear tire blowout, causing the vehicle to strike a concrete barrier, which ejected both riders.
Michael Douvio was pronounced dead at the scene by a Justice of the Peace, while Lynette Douvio was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead by medical staff.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and further details are not available at this time.
