BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
One person died in a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Chapel Road Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:13 p.m. in the 500 block of Chapel Road, near State Route 132.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), a 37-year-old man was riding a motorcycle eastbound when he attempted to pass a car in the same lane.
The motorcycle subsequently collided with a westbound vehicle driven by a juvenile.
Paul Creed, the motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene; OSHP reported he was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Batavia Post of OSHP is investigating the incident.
