A New Gloucester motorcyclist died early Thursday morning on Route 26 in Oxford after a pickup truck collided with him, authorities said.
Rodney Adair, 62, was riding south on Main Street when a northbound pickup truck driven by Paul Gaudreau, 37, turned into his lane at 2:10 a.m. Adair, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to MaineHealth Stephens Hospital in Norway, where he was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.
Gaudreau was arrested at the scene and charged with manslaughter, operating under the influence, and aggravated reckless conduct. He is currently being held at the Oxford County Jail in Paris on $30,000 cash bail.
