Paralyzed Alaska man creates intricate Lego masterpieces one brick at a time following motorcycle crash.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A serious motorcycle crash left a rider paralyzed below the waist ten years ago, prompting a remarkable journey of recovery through Lego building.

According to reports, Mingo Graham was riding at 110 mph when he collided with a pole, resulting in a broken C6 vertebra. He awoke months later from a coma at Stanford University, having endured a life-changing injury.

Isolation and Healing

After his accident, Graham spent approximately eight months isolated in a rehabilitation facility in Anchorage. Upon leaving his room, he began constructing Lego sets, which have become a significant part of his rehabilitation.

Graham’s first build was a Lego Harley-Davidson motorcycle, reminiscent of the bike he rode on the night of the crash. He has created an extensive collection since then, working meticulously with his finger, thumb, and mouth.

Finding Purpose

Graham stated that building Lego sets provides him motivation and a renewed sense of purpose. “They give me motivation when I’m unmotivated,” he said, noting that people often express surprise at his positive attitude.
