SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A 13-year-old boy was struck by a box truck on Kilby Road Friday evening following a collision between two e-motorcycles.
According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, two boys, both riding e-motorcycles, collided when their handlebars clipped, resulting in a crash. A passerby stopped to assist the injured boy when the second rider returned to the roadway to retrieve one of the motorcycles and was hit by the box truck.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene. Authorities confirmed that the injured boy is expected to survive, while the second rider did not require transport for injuries.
Investigators noted the incident’s circumstances could have led to a more severe outcome. Both boys are from the Park City area.
As of now, no lane closures have been reported related to this incident.
