A Pennsylvania motorcyclist died Wednesday afternoon after a collision with a van on northbound Interstate 95 in Nassau County.

The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. near State Road 200, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The motorcyclist reportedly struck the rear of a van, causing the bike to overturn. Emergency responders pronounced the rider dead at the scene after he was ejected and collided with a guardrail.

The rider’s identity has not been released, but authorities confirmed he was wearing a helmet. Two occupants of the van, both from Jupiter, Florida, an 81-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman, were unharmed.

Traffic was severely disrupted for hours as FHP investigators processed the scene. Northbound lanes were closed, and delays accumulated due to the ongoing investigation. Witnesses reported significant backups as crews gathered evidence.

The collision remains under investigation by the FHP, which will look into vehicle damage, witness statements, and traffic conditions to determine the cause. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
