Clarkson, N.Y. — A fatal collision involving an SUV and a tractor occurred on Route 19 at 5:55 a.m. Thursday.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the northbound SUV on Lake Road near Lawton Road struck the tractor, which was towing 17-foot discs.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity was initially withheld pending notification of family. Authorities confirmed the tractor operator was uninjured and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
Lake Road was closed in both directions between Lawton Road and Woodstock Lane but has since been reopened.
