WATERBURY, CT — Enrique Rivera, 34, died following a motorcycle crash on Sunday, June 7, shortly before 10 a.m., according to Connecticut State Police.
Authorities reported Rivera lost control of his Yamaha YZF-R7, veering onto the right shoulder and colliding with a guardrail at the South Main Street overpass near Exit 23. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The highway was closed for approximately six hours as investigators processed the scene and assessed the incident’s cause.
Authorities are seeking witnesses or individuals with information to contact Connecticut State Police.
