Police Intensify Investigation of Saturday Motorcycle Collision in Mechanicsville.

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – A serious motor vehicle collision occurred on December 13, 2025, at approximately 4:48 p.m. at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Cedar Grove Street in Mechanicsville.

According to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, a 2019 white Chevrolet Impala, driven by 35-year-old Orrin Stacy of Mechanicsville, was traveling east on Cedar Grove Street. The vehicle attempted a left turn onto Three Notch Road without yielding, entering the path of a southbound 2002 Yamaha YZF600R motorcycle operated by 26-year-old Darius Jackson-Jordan of Drayden.

Jackson-Jordan sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a regional trauma center by Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 7, where he remains in critical condition.

Authorities indicated that speed is not believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. The Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident.
