ATTLEBORO (WBSM) — A 48-year-old man from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, died from injuries sustained in a crash on Interstate 95 in North Attleboro on May 5.
According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, Julio Flores passed away on the evening of May 11 following the incident.
The collision involved a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta and a 2005 Freightliner M2 truck, occurring on I-95 South at mile marker 8 around 11:58 p.m. Upon arrival, police found the Jetta, which had four occupants, wedged between the guardrail and the Freightliner. Flores was discovered a short distance from the vehicle with life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead days later.
The investigation is ongoing, led by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
