Road Reopened in Greer After Deadly Crash, Police Confirm.

GREER, S.C. – A 57-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Greer on Wednesday morning.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Cameron Kreswell Neely, a resident of Greer. Authorities said emergency responders arrived at the scene at the intersection of West Wade Hampton Boulevard and North Main Street around 9:44 a.m.

Upon arrival, first responders found Neely in the roadway; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office reported that the cause of death was blunt force trauma, ruling it an accident.

Westbound lanes of West Wade Hampton Boulevard were closed during the emergency response. All lanes were reopened as of 1:15 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the Greer Police Department.
