Motorcycle Crash in Rochester Injures One, Investigation Underway
ROCHESTER, NH—A motorcycle crash on South Main Street early Thursday morning left one individual seriously injured, authorities reported. The incident occurred at approximately 5:29 a.m. on August 21, 2025.
Emergency responders, including ROCHESTER POLICE, ROCHESTER FIRE, and FRISBIE EMS, arrived at 111 South Main Street to find a 2010 Nissan Rogue and a 2022 Harley-Davidson Iron 883 had collided. The motorcycle was pinned under the vehicle after the Nissan made a left turn into a business and struck the bike.
The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was later towed, while the Nissan had minor damage and was also towed from the scene. The driver of the Nissan, identified as Raymond Cooper, 69, of East Rochester, NH, was unharmed.
The motorcycle rider, Hunter Petry, 24, of Rochester, sustained severe injuries and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Due to the crash’s severity, the STRAFFORD COUNTY REGIONAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION TEAM has joined the investigation.
