Motorcycle Crash in Hancock Claims Life of Franklin Resident

A motorcycle crash on Route 182 in Hancock, Maine, on Friday afternoon resulted in the death of a 32-year-old man.

Tyeler Grey of Franklin sustained significant injuries from the collision, which occurred around 3:45 p.m., according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office. Despite medical aid, Grey was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai Sonata involved, 28-year-old Harold Moore of Mariaville, and his two passengers were not injured, authorities reported. Grey was traveling northbound on Route 182 when the Sonata, making a left turn from Coffin Road, collided with his motorcycle.

Following the incident, Route 182 was closed for an extended period while deputies conducted an investigation. The road has since reopened.

Assistance was provided by multiple agencies, including Maine State Police, Maine Forest Service, Maine Marine Patrol, and various local fire departments.

The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
