THOMASTON — A motorcycle crash on Route 8 resulted in serious injuries and traffic delays on the southbound lanes Tuesday afternoon.
Connecticut State Police responded to the incident near Exit 40 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Authorities reported serious injuries, prompting the dispatch of a Life Star medical helicopter to the scene. The southbound lanes were closed during the investigation.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation confirmed that the highway reopened just before 4 p.m.
