Multi-Vehicle Collision on Route 128 Leaves One Dead
A multi-vehicle collision on Route 128 southbound in Waltham resulted in one fatality around 5:15 p.m. on October 12.
The crash involved three vehicles and occurred near exit 26, causing significant lane closures. According to the MASSACHUSETTS STATE POLICE, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene, and another sustained serious injuries. The injured parties were transported to nearby hospitals by EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
Authorities reported that traffic was diverted as crews worked to clear the wreckage. Two vehicles required towing, and all lanes reopened by 7 p.m. The cause of the collision is under investigation, and officials have not released the identities of those involved.
