Motorcyclist Killed in Ojai Collision Identified as Shahin Jahanbigloo

OJAI, CA – Shahin Jahanbigloo, 67, of Porter Ranch, died in a motorcycle crash at State Route 150 and Old Walnut Road shortly before 10:30 a.m. on February 21.

According to a California Highway Patrol (CHP) report, a gray Audi Q4 attempted to make a left turn from Old Walnut Road onto eastbound SR 150 and was struck by two westbound motorcyclists. Jahanbigloo was riding a Honda CRF 1000 and sustained critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 63-year-old West Hollywood man, riding a BMW R1250 GS, was transported to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries. The Audi driver, a 75-year-old, was treated for minor injuries.

Authorities stated that drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the incident. The CHP continues to investigate the collision and encourages anyone with information to contact their Ventura Area Office at 805-662-2640.
