HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — A motorcycle crash on Studley Road in Hanover County on Sunday morning resulted in one fatality.
According to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the incident in the 6000 block of Studley Road shortly after midnight. A 2026 Aprilia motorcycle was traveling east when it veered off the roadway and struck a tree.
The rider, identified as 43-year-old Matthew Aaron Wood of Mechanicsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
