A motorcyclist died in a crash on Welshtown Road in Washington Township late Monday night, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at 11:51 p.m. near the 3000 block of Welshtown Road. The rider, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, lost control of his motorcycle, left the roadway, and crashed. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio ruled the cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries and classified the manner of death as an accident.
Pennsylvania State Police from the Bethlehem barracks are assisting with the ongoing investigation in coordination with the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. Further details regarding the victim’s background were not available.
