SLIDELL, La. — A 21-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash early Thursday morning on Highway 11.
According to the Louisiana State Police, Gavin B. Dietrich was riding a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R southbound when he lost control around 3:00 a.m. LSP officials indicated he was traveling at a high speed while approaching a right-hand curve.
Dietrich veered off the roadway into a gravel parking lot and subsequently over an embankment. He was ejected from the motorcycle and struck the coastal shoreline riprap, suffering fatal injuries. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation. Further details will be released as the case develops.
