OZARK, Ala. (AP) – A 23-year-old soldier from Fort Rucker died in a motorcycle accident early this morning in Ozark. According to Dale County Coroner Woody Hilboldt, the crash occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Logan Road.
Fort Rucker’s public affairs office reported that the soldier lost control of his motorcycle, striking a curb and a telephone pole. The soldier’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Coroner Hilboldt indicated that speed was a contributing factor in the collision. Ozark Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
