South Dakota Motorcyclist Dies in WYO 450 Crash Near Gillette.

GILLETTE, Wyo. — A 60-year-old South Dakota man died in a two-vehicle crash on Wyoming Highway 450 on June 9 at 12:11 p.m.

Stacy Christianson was operating a Can-Am Spyder Roadster motorcycle when he collided with a Ford F-250 truck that was slowing to turn onto a road approach near milepost 62.1 in Campbell County. The truck was pulling a flatbed trailer and had its right turn signal activated.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Christianson’s motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the trailer. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Road conditions were reported as dry, but severe wind was present during the incident. Authorities cited driver inattention as a potential contributing factor.

Emergency response and tows were executed following the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
