Two South Dakota residents were injured in a motorcycle crash in Monroe County on Thursday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred at 5:17 p.m. on County Road 581, approximately five miles east of Stoutsville.
According to the crash report, a 2008 Honda Goldwing veered off the right side of the road and overturned.
The driver and passenger, a 71-year-old man and woman from Spearfish, SD, both sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to a nearby hospital.
MSHP confirmed that both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
Investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
