Southeast Missouri Man Injured in Motorcycle-Car Collision West of Midway on Sunday.

A motorcycle accident west of Midway on Sunday afternoon left a 46-year-old Kennett man injured.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Arkansas State Highway 178, near the intersection with Pearl Road. The man was transported to Baxter Health in Mountain Home for treatment. The driver of the car, a 50-year-old woman from Mountain Home, and her juvenile passenger were not injured.

According to the Arkansas State Police (ASP), the collision happened when the woman slowed to make a left-hand turn. The motorcycle rider attempted to pass her vehicle on the left, believing she was turning right. As the car began its turn into a private drive, both vehicles collided near the fog line in the opposing lane. The motorcycle rider was ejected from his vehicle as a result.

The motorcycle rider received citations for driving on a suspended license, improper passing on the left, and operating a motorcycle without a proper license.

The ASP is investigating the accident.
