Woman Charged with Reckless Homicide After Fatal Trimble County Crash
TRIMBLE COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) — A 29-year-old woman from Jeffersonville, Indiana, faces multiple charges, including reckless homicide, following a fatal crash on US 421 on June 16.
According to Kentucky State Police, Mary May was driving with three children when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a truck. The driver of the truck, 39-year-old David Logan, died in the incident.
May and the three children, ages 5 and two 4-year-olds, were airlifted to hospitals in Louisville with serious injuries. While their conditions remain unclear, court documents indicate the two 4-year-olds have since been released.
May was arrested Tuesday and charged with reckless homicide, reckless driving, wanton endangerment, and assault. Authorities reported she was driving 60 mph in a 35 mph zone at the time of the crash.
She is scheduled to appear in court next week.
