BALTIMORE – A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 claimed the life of a Calvert and Charles county paramedic on Tuesday morning.
Kevin Wells, 40, was riding a blue Suzuki motorcycle northbound near Russell Street around 7 a.m. when he collided with a silver Hyundai sedan and a white Chevrolet SUV, authorities said.
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police reported that Wells died at the scene.
Wells had been part of the emergency medical services community for over two decades, working part-time for Charles County EMS and volunteering with Calvert Advanced Life Support. At the time of the accident, he was commuting home from a night shift at Maryland Express Care, where he was employed full-time as a critical care transport paramedic.
MDTA Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are seeking witnesses to come forward.
