MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — A St. Robert man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident involving a deer on Missouri Route 17 Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred at 2:15 p.m. near Livingston Road. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 34-year-old man was traveling on his motorcycle when he collided with the deer.
The impact caused the motorcycle to veer off the road, ejecting the rider. Emergency responders airlifted him to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
No additional injuries were reported, and the road was briefly closed to facilitate the response and investigation. Authorities are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
