Wabasha, MN — A 27-year-old Minneapolis man died in a motorcycle crash on Hwy. 60 near Wabasha at about 1 p.m. Sunday.
According to the State Patrol, Nicholas Paul Simien lost control of his motorcycle while traveling west and struck a guardrail approximately 3.5 miles west of Wabasha. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that Simien was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident and do not suspect alcohol was a factor. The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.
No other vehicles were involved, and there were no reported injuries to other parties. The roadway was temporarily closed while emergency responders worked at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
