A two-vehicle crash on Route 281 in Tully on Wednesday morning resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Jacob P. Lyman of Homer. Emergency responders were called to the scene at approximately 11:15 a.m.
According to authorities, Lyman was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred when a Chevrolet SUV, driven by 73-year-old Robert Brhel of Fabius, turned left onto Route 281 from a parking lot, colliding with Lyman’s motorcycle.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Assisting at the scene were members of the State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
There were no additional reported injuries. Traffic was temporarily impacted in the area.
