ARCADIA, N.Y. — A 17-year-old motorcyclist, Ashton Kepler of Newark, was killed in a crash early Sunday morning in Wayne County.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Wood Lane in the Town of Arcadia, according to New York State Police. Kepler was riding westbound when his motorcycle left the roadway and entered a ditch. He was later found in the tree line near the motorcycle.
Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures at the scene before transporting Kepler to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
