OHIO, N.Y. — A 21-year-old Wolcott man died in a motorcycle accident involving a tractor-trailer on State Route 8 Tuesday morning.
The collision occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the Town of Ohio. According to State Police, Matthew Cole was riding his motorcycle when he crossed into the opposite lane and struck the tractor-trailer, subsequently crashing into a tree.
Cole was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the tractor-trailer driver was not impaired at the time of the incident.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
