SCHAGHTICOKE, NY (WRGB) — A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on State Route 40 on Saturday evening, February 28, according to the New York State Police.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., NYSP Troopers responded to a collision involving a car and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene; no other injuries were reported.
Authorities closed State Route 40 while the investigation was conducted, and the roadway reopened around 11:30 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation, and the identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
