Motorcycle Crash Claims One Life in Jasper on Saturday
JASPER, AR (August 29, 2026) — A motorcycle crash on State Highway 7 Saturday morning resulted in one fatality and one serious injury.
According to Arkansas State Police, the incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. when a northbound 2014 Yamaha motorcycle overturned while negotiating a curve. The motorcycle’s two occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
The passenger, identified as 49-year-old Sugey Madrigal of Colusa, California, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. The operator, a 56-year-old man from Russellville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities report that the case remains under investigation, and details about lane closures or tow responses have not been specified.
