DEKORRA, Wis. — A 71-year-old Sun Prairie man, David Drunasky, died in a motorcycle crash on County Highway J on May 16.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Drunasky was riding his motorcycle near County Highway CS when an SUV crossed the center line and struck him nearly head-on. The impact caused Drunasky and his motorcycle to be thrown into a ditch, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 19-year-old man from Dane, did not sustain any injuries. Emergency response teams from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol attended the scene.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Lane closures were implemented during the response and investigation.
