LINN, OR (July 31, 2026) – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Highway 226 Friday evening when a pickup truck turned into the path of an oncoming rider.
According to the Oregon State Police, Tanner Kolten Henderson, 29, of Gates was riding eastbound at approximately 9:41 p.m. when a westbound Ford F-350, slowed and turned south onto Richardson Gap Road near milepost 11. The motorcycle collided with the front of the truck, causing Henderson to be ejected into a roadside ditch.
Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck remained on-site and is cooperating with investigators. The Oregon State Police is conducting an investigation into the incident.
