Taylor County Sheriff Investigates Fatal Motorcycle Crash on County Road M.

MEDFORD, Wis. (Local News Wire) — A 56-year-old Medford man died in a motorcycle crash in the Town of Hammel on July 20, according to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities received a welfare check request at 10 a.m. after Scott R. Williams failed to arrive at work. Cell phone location data indicated his last known location was on County Road M east of Perkinstown.

A passerby later reported finding an unresponsive man and a motorcycle in the ditch near the 9600 block of County Road M. Taylor County deputies and EMS responded to the scene, where they confirmed Williams was deceased.

Investigators determined he was traveling eastbound when the motorcycle left the roadway, entering the ditch. Williams was ejected from the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No passengers were on the motorcycle, and the incident is currently under investigation.
